During exams: Tips for studying smart with artificial intelligence

As final exams approach, here are some tips to help you prepare, study, and review required notes and curriculum. There are many tools powered by generative AI, and the tips below are based on Gemini and NotebookLM—all features are available in Arabic.

  • Create an audio summary with NotebookLM : Visit the tool’s website or mobile app, upload your curriculum or any learning materials (videos, texts, or notes) and listen to an AI-generated audio summary between two people. You can customize the focus of the summary before generating it and change the language in the settings. This feature is currently available in Arabic, including Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic, with additional dialects expected to be added soon.
  • Study guide and mind map via NotebookLM : The mind map will help you identify the main and subtopics, and when you click on any part, the tool will summarize the key points for you to better understand. You can also view the suggested study guide for a topic you want to prepare for before the exam.
  • Interactive quizzes on Gemini: In the Requests field, describe the quiz you’re looking for, such as “I want a quiz on global warming.” Ideally, customize the quiz based on the subjects you’re studying. Upload the subject or course you want to test your knowledge on before the official exam, and Gemini will generate an interactive quiz for you. This feature is currently available in Arabic and without a subscription.
  • Upload and summarize notes on Gemini : You can photograph your handwritten notes, import them into Gemini, and then request a summary of the key points. If you have notes written in a second language, you can upload them and request a translation into your preferred language.
  • Help solving math equations with Gemini : Upload a photo of the equation to Gemini and ask for a detailed explanation. Or you can launch a live chat (Gemini Live). This feature is available on Android and iOS devices. It’s easy to use! Simply use the app on your mobile device, tap the icon next to the microphone to launch the live chat, and then tap the camera icon to talk directly with Gemini and explain the equation in detail.

The Gemini app is accessible via the Google Play Store and App Store, or at gemini.google.com , and NotebookLM is accessible at notebooklm.google.com .
