The second episode of “Serena with Google” is now on YouTube and Instagram! In this episode, Maram Beko, a Saudi content creator known for her engaging videos, hosts Sultan Al-Badran, an architect with a passion for detail and historical landmarks, on a tour of “Al-Balad,” also known as Jeddah’s historic district.
During this tour, the content creators use Google tools, including the search engine and Google Lens, to solve some of the region’s mysteries and explore the history of these places, especially traditional houses like Beit Ba’shen and Beit Nassif in Jeddah. They also meet Abrar, a Saudi Local Guide on Google Maps, who talks about how she joined the Local Guides program on Google Maps and how such a volunteer program helps support local activities and make them more accessible to a wider audience.
